Edit SRT subtitles online — fix text & timing

Load a .srt or .vtt file (or paste subtitles), correct the text, tweak individual timestamps or shift every cue at once to resync — then export as SRT or VTT. Everything happens locally in your browser; your file never leaves your device.

How it works

  1. Drop a .srt or .vtt file — or paste subtitles straight in.
  2. Edit the text, adjust timestamps, or shift all cues to resync.
  3. Download the result as .srt or .vtt.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resync subtitles that are ahead of or behind the video?

Use the shift-all control: enter how many milliseconds the subtitles are off (positive to delay them, negative to bring them earlier) and apply. Every cue moves by that amount, and nothing can shift before 00:00:00,000.

Can I convert SRT to VTT or VTT to SRT?

Yes. Load either format and download either format — the editor exports both .srt (SubRip) and .vtt (WebVTT), so it doubles as a converter.

Is my subtitle file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is parsed, edited and rebuilt entirely in your browser — it never leaves your device, and there is no size limit.

What do the warning badges on some cues mean?

They flag timing problems: a cue that overlaps the previous one, a cue that ends before it starts, or a cue that starts earlier than the one before it. Fix the timestamps and the badge disappears.
